We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, upload documents, or contact us. This includes your name, email address, phone number, and the content you store in your vault. We also collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and usage patterns to improve our service and security.

OnwardSafe is built on a zero-knowledge architecture. All vault content is encrypted on your device using AES-256/AES-GCM before transmission. We do not store your encryption keys in plaintext. Our servers cannot read the content of your encrypted vault.

We use your information to: • Provide, maintain, and improve our services • Send you inactivity alerts and service notifications • Facilitate the guardian consensus and vault release process • Comply with legal obligations We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We share your information only with: • Your designated guardians and beneficiaries, as part of the vault release process you configure • Service providers who help us operate the platform (email, SMS, cloud storage) • Law enforcement, if required by valid legal process We never share your data for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your vault data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain your data for 90 days to allow export. After that period, your data is permanently deleted from our servers.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You may export your vault contents from your account settings. To request deletion, contact us at support@onwardsafe.com.

We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and regular security audits. Our zero-knowledge architecture means vault contents are inaccessible even to OnwardSafe staff.
